Posted: Mar 19, 2010
Those children and adults, who sustained a brain injury in an auto accident (MVA), slip and fall accident, or during a physical attack are recommended to undergo a neuropsychological evaluation to determine which neuro-cognitive abilities remained uninjured and which abilities have been injured and impaired in such accident.
Neuropsychological evaluation assesses symptom exaggeration, extent of post- accident brain injury or disability, and the types and severity of neurocognitive disorders.
Serial neuropsychological evaluations can track progressive decline and monitor response to
treatment.
